The Last Song-Connections to my life

The last song connects to my life because Ronnie is a really independent girl I think that I'm really independent like Ronnie. I liked to do my own things and I like to be alone a lot and just hang out. I also think it connects to my life because Ronnie's dad has cancer and I've had a lot of family members who have had cancer and I've had to help them out. I know the kind of pain Ronnie was going through. Even though I have never lost a parent in my life. I still could understand what she was going through when her dad died. Also like Ronnie I have had my family die before like when her father passed away I could really connect to what she was feeling because all of my grandparents have passed away and even though I only met two of them I was extremely close to both of them like how Ronnie was with her dad in the end of the book. I also can connect to Ronnie because she loves animals and she will do anything to protect them and save them. Like when she stayed out and slept on the beach to make sure the sea turtles didn't get eaten. I would have done that if I had sea turtles in my backyard. I think me and Ronnie have a lot in common.
