Dear John

I finished the book Dear John. I really liked the book because I can really relate to some of the characters in a different way. It's about a guy named John Tryee he lives with his dad because his mom left them. After High School he leaves to go to the army. John was on leave for 2 weeks so he decides to visit his dad at his hometown. While he's there he ends up falling in love with a college student Savannah Lynn Curtis. Since him and Savannah can't see each other in person they decide to send letters. John awaits Savannah's letters, but he doesn't hear from her. No letters. No calls. Nothing. When he finally does he finds out Savannah has fallen in love with someone else and is engaged. I found this book extremely heart breaking. The ending was not what I wanted it to be. I didn't like the ending that much, but overall I loved the book(:
