Saving Energy
Ways were going to save energy
-Think of what I need before I open the refrigerator door to prevent heat lost
-Turn off computer, iHome, IPods, etc. when not in use
-Unplug cell phone charger, toasters, and other appliances that are not in use
-Donate clothes to Goodwill so that they may be reused
-Make sure to "print preview"
Week 1: So far I have done really well saving energy. From now on I have been thinking of what I want in the refrigerator instead of standing there looking at it for 5 minutes. I have been unpluging all of my chargers/electronics when I'm not using them. All the clothes that don't fit me anymore I haven't given them to Goodwill but, I have given them to Sydney.

Touch- Prediction
In the book Touch I predict that Maisie is going to try and forgive her three best friends Shakes, Chris, and Kevin. Even though they sexually harassed her I think that she will be able to forgive them. I believe that she feels like she kind of has to because they were pretty much the only people she hung out with and her closest friends. But then again I think if she does forgive them it probably wont be the same as it use to be because they did such a horrible thing to her.
If that doesn't happen I predict that Maisie's step mother Joan is going to file a restraining order against all of them for Maisie, but I think that Maisie is going to get really mad at her because she wants to forgive and forget, and just start all over with them. I don't believe that will happen after what they did to Maisie.
Another prediction I have for this book is Maisie is going to move with her mom. Maisie's mom left her and her dad when she was really little. She didn't really forgive her. Maisie mom as well as her dad found someone else and both of her parents got remarried. Maisie has a step brother that is Joans and she hates Joan. She wants to get away from her and I think that might be the reason she might go live with her mother. In the book she said she was thinking about moving to her moms house.
Joan is a girly girl, a professional therapist, and in my opinion she tries to hard to get Maisie on her side and tries to make her like her. Joan is fake and needs to stop trying so hard and Maisie needs to give Joan a chance and if that happens they might end up liking each other. I hope to find out what happens more in my book. It's very interesting so far.

Touch-Connects to the world
I think that people in the world can relate to touch because girls all the time are taken advantage of guys. Maisie was sexually harassed by her three best friends. They knew each other for a long time and she trusted them. They were her three best guy friends and pretty much her only real friends she hung out with. All of a sudden when they were on the bus they started to touch her in inappropriate areas. The world can really relate to this because girls get sexually harassed by guys all the time. I feel like guys should have more respect for girls. Hopefully some guys can grow up and realize that it's not OK and it doesn't make us feel good when guys take advantage of the trust we have for them.
Touch
I'm now reading Touch by Francine Prose. The book is about a 9th grader name Maisie who gets inappropriately touched by her 3 best friends. They're all guys and she's known them ever since she was in pre-school. They were all very close and they all use to hang out and play video games and pretty much do everything together. One day on the bus they all started to touch her inappropriately. I haven't fully heard the long story of what happened, but i can't wait until I hear all of there point of views. I've barely made a dent in the book yet, but I so far I like this book and I think it's going to get even better once I really start to get into it.

The Last Song- what i learned
What I learned personally about Ronnie is that no matter how many years she went without talking to her dad she always loved him no matter what. In the end of the book her father gets cancer and he is only going to live for a year. Her mother comes to pick up Ronnie and her brother. Ronnie is a legal adult so she stays with her father and takes care of him.
When you first look at Ronnie you think she's really bad and does drugs and drinks, but under that mascara, dark clothes, and purple streaks is a person who is really gentle and loves animals and people. Even though she doesn't like to admit her personal opinions, she really is kind and caring. For example, Ronnie loves animals and loves the piano, but she never really admits that in the book. She said she use to love the piano, but once her dad left she didn't want any part of playing the piano. He taught her the piano, helped her practice the piano, and they composed music together on the piano. Since the piano reminded her of her dad, she never wanted to play it again. I really like the character Ronnie and I think that everybody can relate to her in a different way.

The Last Song-Connects to the world
In The Last Song I think the book relates to the world because Ronnie's dad has cancer towards the end of the book and a lot of people have cancer in the USA and in the world. I think the world can relate to the book because people have cancer and they have to go through a lot of pain. Not only them, but there loved ones have to take care of them or watch them go through so much pain. That's what Ronnie and her family had to go through. Ronnie took care of her father when he was sick. Some people survive cancer, but others don't. Like in the book Ronnie's dad dies in the end from the cancer. I do believe that the world can relate to this book because a lot of deaths are caused by cancer.
